Due to the recent COVID19 pandemic, Grab has taken the initiative to comply to CMCO (Conditional Movement Control Order) SOP.  New drivers can now register Grab Driver for entire Malaysia without having to visit to any Grab GDC nor Grab Kiosk. With the current Skip-The-Line and online verification process, you can register directly via the form below and our assigned registration admins will assist you throughout your registration process.
Under the act of Ministry Of Transportation (MOT) in Malaysia, all registered Grab Drivers are required to have PSV license. However, for new drivers without PSV license, our admin will send guidelines on how to obtain PSV license in the shortest possible time.

How To Register Grabfood Rider In Kuala Lumpur And Selangor (Motorcycle Only)

Starting from 20th October, Grabfood rider can be registered through online. This initiative is taken by Grab to comply to Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) SOP and reduce the crowd in Grabfood offices.

For now, online registration is only opened for riders in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Find out more info below.


Grabfood is a subsidiary service from Grab on food delivery. It has officially started in Malaysia in 2018 after the a success in GrabCar. Today, Grabfood is considered as one of the best food delivery platform in the country.


1) Malaysian Citizen (Blue MyKad)
2) Aged 18-69 years old
3) Riders above 50 years old will have to go through a medical checkup process
4) Driving License B/B2 (L License is NOT accepted)
5) Own an Android/IOS smartphone
6) Never work for GrabExpress/GrabCar/GrabTaxi
7) Never had any background issues (police/court cases)
8) Never banned or suspended by Grab before.
9) Reside in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor areas.

All new riders are REQUIRED to take Typhoid Immunisation shot before attend for Grabfood interview and account activation.

3) Copy of your motorcycle insurance covernote, page contents the below details:
    - Applicant name or ALL RIDER
    - Motorcycle model & number plate
    - Manufacturer year
    - Validity of coverage period
4) Copy of your Roadtax
5) JPJ Grant (For new motorcycle)

1) Firstly, collect all the five (5) required documents above. Take a clear photo and make sure all the words and clear in the photo.

2) Click the GrabFood Registration Form link. Fill up and upload all the required details and documents.

3) After you have submitted your registration form. Registration admins will WhatsApp you and send your further instructions within 24-hours (Monday - Friday). You have to follow the steps and instruction exactly to avoid time wastage on your registration process and appointments.

4) The entire process will take approximately 7-14 days including individual background screening.


How much is the total cost I am expecting to be a Grabfood rider?
The total cost is RM150+ Typhoid Immunisation cost. For starting, RM50 of E-Pay topup, RM100 will be deducted via your completed trips later (RM50x 2 weeks).

What is the cost of Typhoid Immunisation?
Typhoid cost varies from different clinics. Check with local clinics for pricing. Grab will reimburse a maximum of RM41 for the cost of Typhoid Immunisation after you have successfullly registered as a Grabfood rider.

How long can my Typhoid Immunisation last?
3 years

Will I receive Jacket or Helmet for Grabfood?
Not for now. However you can submit your request at our office AFTER your account is activated.

Can I change my Grabfood bag?
Yes. If you have met below work requirement:
Above 9 months = FREE
Below 9 months = RM150

Can I change my operating city?
Yes. After you have completed 20 trips within a month and active for a minimum of 3 months.

Any penalty if I did not start after receiving the Grabfood bag?
RM50 Topup will be forfeited and your slot will be given to next interested rider. Minimum of 20 jobs in 30-days after receiving your Grabfood bag is a must.

How much commission will Grab deduct from my fare?
0%. Grab will not deduct any commission from rider's collected fare.

Can I operate outside of my registered city (KL SELANGOR) ?
No you cannot.

Payment method for GrabFood?
All payments will only be completed in GrabPay. GrabFood does not have cash transactions.

Are there any work schedule for GrabFood riders like other companies?
No. As a GrabFood rider, you can online anytime you want as long it is inside hotspot and busy hours. Just stay online in your application and standby at any hotspot.

Background issues such as criminal case, police case, court case, dangerous driving summons.
All new riders MUST HAVE clean background and do not have more than three (3) summons in a year or nine (9) in 3-years.

How many types of GrabFood services are there?
Two (2). Halal Fleet and Non-Halal Fleet.

You should contact Grab Existing Partner support 0327881300 for your account status. You DO NOT have to register new account.

Every GrabFood rider has to have TYPHOID IMMUNISATION before account activation. This pre-requisite requirement will take effect on 8 August 2018 to raise the food safety standard and cleanliness of GrabFood service.

As an incentive for GrabFood rider, Grab Malaysia will reimburse a maximum of RM41 on Typhoid Immunisation cost. It is compulsory for all GrabFood riders to have an active Typhoid Immunisation card.

For Klang Valley GrabFood Riders, you are advised to obtain your Typhoid Immunisation shot at Klinik Kesihatan Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL). Most private clinics today provides Typhoid Immunisation shot, dropby your nearest clinics for further enquiries.


GrabFood rider is considered as one of the most dangerous occupation today. Therefore, all riders are advised to always wear your protective gears and be alert with your surrounding at all times.
