Below are the steps to register as a GrabFood Rider in Malaysia and get activated within approximately 5 working days.

Please upload your details and documents through the registration link below to secure your appointment for GrabFood rider kit collection.

INTRODUCTION OF GRABFOOD
GrabFood is a food delivery service under Grab which officially launched in Malaysia in 2018 following the success of GrabCar.
Today, GrabFood is considered one of the leading food delivery platforms in Malaysia.
REQUIREMENTS FOR GRABFOOD & GRABEXPRESS RIDER
- Malaysian Citizen (Blue MyKad / MyTentera only)
- Aged between 18–69 years old
- Riders above 50 years old are required to undergo medical check-up
- Valid B / B2 driving license
- L License is NOT accepted
- Own an Android or iPhone smartphone
- Never worked for GrabExpress / GrabCar / GrabTaxi previously
- No criminal, police or court record issues
- Never banned or suspended by Grab before
- Residing in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor or Seremban areas
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Profile Photo
- Identification Card (IC)
- Driving License (Active & Non-L)
- Copy of Motorcycle Roadtax
Riders will receive online training and quiz instructions after registration.

HOW TO REGISTER AS A GRABFOOD RIDER
Step 1
Prepare all four (4) required documents above.
Take clear photos and ensure all details are visible.
Step 2
Open the registration form link and upload all required information and documents.
Step 3
After submitting your registration form, registration admins will contact you through WhatsApp within approximately 24 working hours (Monday – Friday).
Please follow all instructions carefully to avoid delays during registration and appointment scheduling.

The overall process may take around 7–14 days including background screening and account activation

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
How much is the total cost to become a GrabFood Rider?
The starting deposit is RM150.
This consists of:
- 3x RM50 GrabPay top-up credits
The RM150 deposit is refundable upon resignation once the GrabFood rider returns the complete GrabFood rider kit.
Will I receive GrabFood Jacket or Helmet?
Yes.
A complete GrabFood rider kit will be provided upon account activation.
Can I change my GrabFood bag?
Yes.
Requirements:
- Above 9 months active = FREE replacement
- Below 9 months active = RM150 replacement fee
Can I change my operating city?
Yes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 30 completed trips within a month
- Minimum 3 months active as rider
Any penalty if I do not start working after receiving the GrabFood bag?
Yes.
RM50 GrabPay top-up credit will be forfeited and your slot may be given to another interested rider.
Minimum requirement:
- Complete at least 30 jobs within 30 days after receiving your GrabFood kit.
How much commission will Grab deduct from rider fares?
0%
Grab does NOT deduct commission from rider collected fares.
Can I operate outside my registered city?
No.
Riders are only allowed to operate within their registered operating city.
What payment methods are available for GrabFood?
All payments are completed through GrabPay.
GrabFood rider accounts do NOT support cash transactions.
Are there any work schedules for GrabFood riders?
No.
GrabFood riders can online anytime depending on:
- Hotspot areas
- Busy hours
- Demand conditions
Simply stay online inside the Grab Rider application.

Background Checks & Rider Eligibility
